This is the last part on actions you can do to protect
your inbox and organize your email much better.
Defense #6: Use Emails For Different Purposes Most Internet users have only one email address and this doesn't help you to organize your email. There are many different types of emails you can have:
You can have many, but I don't recommend having more than 5, one for each purpose. If you organize your email this way, you can use Outlook Express Filters to move your email automatically to different folders and read the most importants first, since not all emails are equally important. You should protect all your emails with the methods described previously if you don't want be inundated by Spam or having to apply filters and risk losing important emails. Defense #6: Use Disposable Emails For all temporary tasks, use disposable emails. There are times Spam will be inevitable, as it is when you publish an email newsletter (as this one using Aweber Autoresponder) exposing your email address to everyone receiving the newsletter and you cannot create a different email for each person. In this case, I use a Hotmail account with the anti-spam filter set to high. Maybe I will lose some email in this case, but it is inevitable in case you publish a newsletter and don't want to receive incredible amounts of Spam. Defense #7: Use Free Emails at Forums This is more or less obvious. Spammers love forums because they are a source of fresh and new email addresses every time. Just take care that if you participate in one, don't publish content using one of your protected accounts. This is all my system. With this, I managed to control email instead of email controlling me taking much of my precious time or losing emails because of incorrect filtering. Hope you liked the info. Feel free to provide comments to keep bringing the best protection advice available on the Internet. Go and apply this Spam prevention solution, you won't regret. |
